Georgia not on your mind? There are many ways to get out of the state for a while and receive class credit for doing so. Beyond the University’s study abroad programs in Italy and Costa Rica, there are other scholastic getaways much closer to home. … According to Josh Podvin, the University’s NSE coordinator, the program attracts about twenty students a year, and Podvin has had a high success rate for getting students placed at their top-choice university since taking over the program. Schools of interest might be New College of Florida with its nontraditional grading system or the University of Hawaii and Humboldt University for their unique settings.
