New College Students Give Back to Community on MLK Day

Monday was a national holiday in honor of the legacy of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  All day, some New College of Florida students volunteered their time and service to the community. “I think it’s important not to look at it as a day off.  It’s a holiday in memory of a man who dedicated his life fighting injustice,” said Nicholas Manting-Brewer, volunteering with New College on Monday at the Resurrection House in Sarasota.
