Haven't Applied to College Yet? Don't Despair
Although most high school seniors know by now where they are heading to college in the fall, those students who never applied to college or don’t like their school choices have a second chance. That’s because some schools are still looking for applicants. Colleges and universities that have room in their freshmen class or for transfer students announced their openings Thursday through the NACAC Space Availability Survey: Openings for Qualified Students. The National Association for College Admission Counseling shares the openings with the public. … Public institutions with openings include such flagships as the University of Florida, University of Arizona, University of Kansas, University of Iowa and the University of Maryland. Others include Arizona State, Colorado State and two public liberal arts colleges — New College of Florida and St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
