Fed Economist to Address “Too Big To Fail”
A Federal Reserve economist and advisor on national monetary policy will give his views on the ongoing economic recovery, the state of the U.S. banking system and the meaning of the concept of “Too Big To Fail” in a talk at New College of Florida.
Harvey Rosenblum, executive vice president and director of research for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, advises the bank’s president on economic policy, and is an associate economist for the Federal Open Market Committee. He also is a past president of the National Association for Business Economics, and teaches and writes on financial issues. He received his doctorate in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1972.
His talk, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, is at the Mildred Sainer Pavilion on New College’s Caples Campus. The talk is presented by New College and the Global Interdependence Center. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased online here. For more information, call 487-4888.
