Recreation Center

The Recreation Center includes a weight room, cardiovascular equipment, racquetball court, dance and exercise rooms, and an outdoor pool and hot tub.

Waterfront Program

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced sailor, we’ll get you out on Sarasota Bay by kayak, sailboard, or boat! Or you can enjoy the sunshine and swim at our own private beach. 

Athletics

Compete with the sailing team, or join a student club sport! There are plenty of clubs to choose from, including powerlifting, rock climbing, rowing, tennis, roller-skating, and aerial yoga, or you can even start your own!

Student Emergency Fund

New College offers emergency funding options for New College students who may apply for financial assistance for food, housing, transportation and medical expenses.

Emergency Leave of Absence (ELOA)

An Emergency Leave of Absence (ELOA) may be granted to a New College Student for up to two consecutive terms, for purposes of attending to a student’s personal health emergency. The Emergency Leave of Absence Application and other ELOA forms can be found on the intranet under Registrar Forms.

Food Pantry

This critical resource provides emergency and supplemental food items of high nutritional value that contribute to the community’s need for access to hunger relief services.

Student Support Team (SST)

The Student Support Team (SST) at New College of Florida is a collaborative group of professionals from various campus departments, including student affairs, academic services, and counseling services. SST is dedicated to assisting New College students with overcoming obstacles that may impact their success and well-being.
