Scholarship Award Opportunities
F-1 International Students Entering 2025-2026 Academic Year
International students applying to enter New College on an F-1 student visa may be eligible for scholarship funding. If a student qualifies for more than one scholarship, we will assign the best option (unless the scholarship indicates otherwise). All scholarships are subject to renewal requirements and to availability of funding. Institutional funding is not available to students who already hold a bachelor’s or advanced degree.

For F-1 international students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, leadership, and engagement.
Award Amount: The amount awarded for the Presidential Honors Scholarship is determined by individual qualifications, including academic performance, extracurricular achievement, and demonstrated leadership.
Eligibility: Available to international students on an F-1 visa who demonstrate strong academic credentials. Automatically considered upon admission.
Designed to make a New College education more affordable for students outside of Florida, including international students.
Award Amount: $15,000
Eligibility: Available to international students on an F-1 visa. Automatically considered upon admission.
New College of Florida offers NCF Foundation Scholarships through a competitive selection process for eligible students.
Award Amount: Varies based on each scholarship.
Eligibility: Applications are available to admitted international students on an F-1 visa.

For Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society members who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.
Award Amount: $1,000 annually (for active PTK members)
Eligibility: Available to international transfer students on an F-1 visa who are current PTK Honor Society Members. This award cannot be combined with the All-Florida Academic Team Award.
For students transferring from Florida State Colleges that are NCF Transform Partners.
Award Amount: $500 annually
Eligibility: Available to international transfer students on an F-1 visa. This scholarship may not be combined with the Presidential Honors Scholarship.
Florida public universities are not allowed to recruit students from China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and Syria. This is due to a law called SB 846, which Governor Ron DeSantis signed in May 2023. The law went into effect on December 1, 2024.
