New College’s George Mitchell Appointed VP for Membership Relations of Florida Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers
George Mitchell, senior computer support specialist at New College of Florida, has been appointed Vice President for Membership Relations of the Florida Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (FACRAO).
Mitchell’s responsibilities will include seeking new institutions to join the FACRAO ranks, assisting and welcoming the member institutions’ representatives into the association and working with the FACRAO Treasurer to collect and process the member institutions’ annual dues.
Mitchell has been involved with FACRAO for the last five years serving as the Vice-President of Communications and Technology, the Chair of the Evaluations Committee and on the Local Arrangements Committee when the FACRAO annual conference was held in Sarasota. He is also a frequent presenter at the annual conferences and a contributor to the FACRAO Newsletters.
Since 1955, the Florida Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers has provided Florida’s enrollment professionals with a forum to address issues affecting institutions and higher education. At the core of FACRAO’s mission is a commitment to promote the advancement of higher education in its fullest and broadest implications through professional development programs.
