New College Honors Faculty and Staff for Reaching Milestones of Dedicated Service
(November 2, 2010) — New College of Florida honored 45 faculty and staff members Friday for their dedication and years of service to the College at a special Employee Recognition Lunch. President Mike Michalson announced each award recipient with his characteristic comic wit while faculty and staff enjoyed a catered lunch outside historic College Hall along the serene Sarasota Bay.

Art History Professor Cris Hassold was recognized for her 45 years at the College, remarkable as New College celebrates its 50th Anniversary. Provost and VP of Academic Affairs Char Callahan and Biology Professor Al Beulig were honored for 35 years of service, and Maintenance Supervisor Ray McVay was recognized for his 25 years at New College.
The College also recognized:
20 Years: Lucy Carroll, Leo Demski, John Newman and Wes Walker;
15 Years: Pat McDonald, Chris Pantzis, Amy Reid and Miriam Wallace;
10 Years: Don Colladay, Clinton Donaldson, April Flakne, David Harvey, Konnie Kruczek, Elzie McCord, Charles Perino, Skylar Rickenbach, David Rohrbacher, Mariana Sendova, Jeff Smith, Wendy Tse, Dari Ann Willis and Yu Wu;
5 Years: Dale Arnett, Wendy Bashant, Charla Bennaji, Torina Brown, Joshua Burroughs, John Ethridge, Ben Foss, Janet Goddard, Karalee Hammes, Jon Hart, Bob Johnson, George Mitchell, Dale Musselman, John Rice, Yuri Salambash, Jonas Stankus, Tom Tharrington, Nicole Van Der Berg and Ivery Wilson.
