Gov. Scott to Explain Tuition Stance to State Board
Florida Gov. Rick Scott plans to discuss his stance against tuition hikes with the state board that oversees the state’s universities. Scott is scheduled to meet Wednesday with the Florida Board of Governors at New College in Sarasota. The board is also expected to hear from the chairman of a task force that Scott created to look at higher education. Scott set up the panel after he vetoed a bill that would have allowed higher tuition rates at the University of Florida and Florida State University.
