Asheville Band Focuses on Grassroots Success

“If you’re in it for the success and money,” said Silas Durocher, vocalist and guitarist of Asheville’s The Get Right Band, “there are way better careers to be in.” In 2011, Durocher was living in Asheville and playing guitar for Soulgrass Rebellion, an Asheville reggae/rock band. […] Gentry stayed in Maryland for college while Durocher went south to attend New College of Florida, where he studied music composition. Even though they were apart for a number of years, they still managed to meet during holidays or special occasions to play music together.
