Feb. 25 (7 p.m.) — Asheville, N.C.’s funk/rock/reggae trio The Get Right Band will be performing at New College of Florida. One of the band’s members, Silas Durocher, is an alum of New College; in Sarasota, he fronted the bands Stone Soup and Silas Durocher and Everybody Knows. The Sarasota Orchestra also commissioned him twice to compose symphonies which it performed. The Get Right Band’s show in the Mildred Sainer Pavillion Courtyard is free and open to the public.
