37th Annual Clambake to Benefit New College
Get ready to slip on a pair of topsiders or wedges, gaze upon a stunning Sarasota Bay sunset, and crack into a savory lobster. The New College Foundation is hosting the 37th Annual Old-Fashioned New England Clambake, benefitting New College of Florida, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, on the New College Bayfront.
The event tradtionally is a major source of support for scholarships for New College students, many of whom will be on hand to discuss what the scholarships and New College mean to them.
The meal, including Maine lobster, New England clam chowder, ribs and chicken, is provided by Michael’s On East.
Clambake Committee Chairs are Keith and Linda Monda, and Committee members are Kathleen and Stephen Raskin, Tom and Donna Beames, Peter and Katie Hayes, Veronica and Jay Brady, Glen Harris, Astrid Rau, Patrick Hennigan, Charlie Lenger, Altom and Jennifer Maglio, Gloria and Marian Moss, Keith and Michelle Senglaub, and Felice Schulaner and Dennis Rees.
Event sponsors include Michael’s Events and Catering, Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, SRQ Media and the Herald-Tribune Media Group.
Tickets are $150 and several levels of sponsorship also are available. For reservations or more information, visit https://donate.ncf.edu/clambake2015 or call 487-4800.
