Hope Born From Grief: The Daughters For Life Foundation

On January 2009, a heart-wrenching disaster struck Dr. Abuelaish right in the heart. Three of his daughters were killed when an Israeli tank shelled his home in Gaza. Bessan 21, Mayar 15, and Aya 13 were snatched mercilessly from the world minutes after Dr. Abuelaish was a guest on an Israeli Tv program….
….Today the foundation is being supported by a number of prestigious colleges in the USA, Canada, UK, and Bangladesh. These colleges include, but are not limited to Manhattanville College, New College of Florida, Asian University for Women, and Trent University etc. The foundation also recognizes females from the middle east in their Junior year of college with a financial award based upon their contribution and hardships.
