The New College of Florida Art Department proudly presents the 2018 Juried Student Art Exhibition, showcasing the work of its most ambitious young artists.

The public is invited to a reception and awards ceremony for the artists on Thursday, February 1, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in New College’s Isermann Gallery. The awards will be presented at 7:00 p.m. with a talk by this year’s juror, Joe Fig, head of the Department of Fine Arts at Ringling College of Art and Design.
The New College Art Department is uniquely situated within Florida’s premier liberal arts college, where students draw from diverse academic influences to fuel compelling works of art. The exhibition will be on display in the Isermann Gallery through March 5.
Joe Fig is an artist, author and educator known for work that explores the creative process and the spaces where art is made. His paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings and videos have been exhibited nationally and internationally with over thirty solo and fifty group exhibitions.
