New College is one of the nation’s top colleges for students seeking a superb education with great career preparation at an affordable price, according to The Princeton Review.

On April 20, the leading tutoring, test prep and college admission services company named New College a “Best Value College” for 2021. A total of 200 colleges were selected for the list, based on data the company collected from its surveys of administrators at more than 650 colleges in 2019-2020.

“The schools we name as our ‘Best Value Colleges’ for 2021 comprise only just over one percent of the nation’s four-year colleges,” said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s editor-in-chief. “They are distinctive in their programs, size, region and type, yet they are similar in three areas. Every school we selected offers outstanding academics, generous financial aid and/or a relative low cost of attendance, and stellar career services. We salute New College for these exceptional offerings and recommend it highly to college applicants and parents.”

The Princeton Review crunched more than 40 data points to tally Return on Investment (ROI) ratings of the colleges. Topics covered everything from academics, cost and financial aid to graduation rates and student debt. The company also factored in data from its surveys of students attending the schools, as well as PayScale.com surveys of alumni about their starting/mid-career salaries and job satisfaction figures.

In the company’s profile of New College, The Princeton Review editors praised the school because it “provides challenging courses for highly self-motivated students who want a large amount of control over their academic choices.”

The Princeton Review also names New College to these lists:
#4 Top 20 Public Best Schools for Making an Impact
#7 Top 20 Public Best Schools for Financial Aid
#7 Top 20 Public Best Alumni Networks
#27 Best Value Public Colleges

The Princeton Review is widely known for its college rankings in dozens of other categories, many of which are reported in the annual book, The Best 386 Colleges, published in August.
