For Students: Each student must contact the ALC at least 48 hours before the testing date to schedule an exam (unless exceptional circumstances arise).
Students not registered with the ALC and who don’t need testing accommodations must email [email protected] with the following information: name, course, name of the professor, which exam they are hoping to take, and a few times and dates that work for them.
Students Registered with ALC who need alternative testing accommodations should follow the Scheduling Alternative Testing Instructions to schedule a test/quiz in the testing center.
Important Alternative Testing Information:
- For online exams taken in the ALC, students with accommodations should confirm time extensions in CANVAS/third-party software with their instructor before taking the exam. If time is not extended, notify ALC staff immediately and remember to account for extended time when making the appointment.
- Contact the ALC for any issues with exam scheduling.
- Exams should be taken at the scheduled date and time, or an alternative must be approved by the instructor and submitted to the ALC. Discuss flexibility with instructors for evening classes, back-to-back schedules, or tech/staff availability.
- Failure to schedule may result in taking the exam in the classroom without accommodations.
- On the day of your test be sure to bring with you the following: your student ID and any instructor approved materials (ex. calculator, formula sheet, notes, textbook, etc.)
Professors must send the exam at least 12 hours in advance. Also, please include a brief explanation of proctoring standards the professor would like us to follow; outline how long each student has for the examination and which materials are allowed.
